AN ORGANISED CYCLE RIDE
When it was announced, at the beginning of 2016, that an Organ Fund was being launched to raise money toeither refurbish or replace the existingorgan in St Mary's church in Walsham-le-Willows, Ian 'Red Sox' Toulson decided that his contribution towards te effort would be a sponsored cycle ride. A tour of cathedrals and their organs seemed like a good idea at the time. Not one to do things by half, Ian decided that his tour would include cathedrals in England, Wales and Scotland.
The result was a Tour of Britai, involving cycling in excess of 2,500 miles and visiting at least 30 cathedrals.
This diary come scrapbook provides some idea of just what seven weeks 'on the road' entails; the planning, the places he visited, the people he met and the and the problems he faced, as well as some of the thoughts he had as he made his way, mainly, along the back roads and cycle tracks of Britain.
With a multitude of photographs of his trip, you'e almost with him all the way; or maybe you'ld rather wish that you wren't.
This book runs to 133 pages with 256 pictures (85 in colour) and detailsof his daily distances. A spreadsheet of his ride is available when ordeing a copy of the book.
